How refilling works
- Buy the tin once: You buy your first cream in the refillable tinplate tin.
- Use it up: The cream is solid and softens with the warmth of your skin. Rub it directly over your skin or take a little with your fingers.
- Insert the refill: When the tin is empty, take the refill out of its paper box and press it into the tin.
- Warm it if needed: If the refill does not sit right away, warm it briefly, for example in a water bath. Then it is easier to fill in.
You can wipe out the empty tin in between. If you would like a second tin, the Empty Cosmetic Tin is also available on its own.

What to keep in mind
- The right tin: Each refill is meant for the tin of the same cream. The Empty Cosmetic Tin is made for the solid creams from forpeople.
- Warmth: Solid creams soften in the heat. Store the tin and refills in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight.
- Skin reactions: The creams are for external use only. If your skin becomes irritated, stop using the product and seek medical advice.
Frequently asked questions
Is the cream in the refill the same as in the tin?
Yes. The ingredients are identical. The only difference is the packaging: the refill comes in a paper box instead of the tinplate tin.
Do I need any tools to refill?
No. You press the refill into the empty tin with your fingers. If it is too firm, warm it briefly first.
Is the vegan hand cream available as a refill too?
Yes. The Solid Vegan Hand Cream - Bergamot is made with candelilla wax instead of beeswax. The refill costs the same.
Can I refill hand and foot cream in the same tin?
Use a separate tin for each cream. That way the scents and formulas do not mix.
