What “vegan” means for us

The products in this category contain no animal ingredients, so no beeswax, no honey, no propolis and no lanolin. Where beeswax provides firmness in other products, we use plant-based candelilla wax. How to recognise vegan cosmetics is explained in Reading vegan labels.

Vegan hand cream

The solid hand cream Bergamot is the vegan sister of the beeswax hand cream: candelilla wax instead of beeswax, plus jojoba, olive and hemp oil and shea butter, without water in a refillable tin. It smells of lemon and bergamot from essential oils. The comparison is in Beeswax or bergamot?; you can top it up with the refill.

Face and body

• Aloe vera serum 99.6 % with organic aloe juice
• Pure oils: jojoba, argan, almond, rosehip, or all four in the care oil set
• Lavender face oil and Lemongrass body oil

Soaps, deodorant and accessories

The solid soaps Lavender, Rosemary & Lemon, Lemongrass, Eucalyptus & Sage and Coffee & Orange and the deodorant creams Sensitive and Lemon are vegan too. The loofah shower sponge made of plant fibres goes with them in the shower.

Where we use beeswax
