Wet the soap and rub it gently between your hands until a creamy lather forms. For body or hair, you can also apply it directly for a more thorough cleanse. Rinse off with water and enjoy clean, nourished skin. Made with aloe vera serum instead of water, so it's extra nourishing.

The rule comes from a shared-flat kitchen. Benno, a climbing instructor and trained sports masseur, couldn’t find a hand cream that helped his worn hands for long — so he started mixing his own. The first formula worked without water, because water dilutes what is meant to work. In 2019 it became the first product. Everything since is made by the same rule: few ingredients, and every one has to earn its place.

Does the tin rust over time?

No. The tin is made of rust-free aluminium, which makes it especially durable. One tip: let it dry briefly after showering so no water sits inside.

Can the soap also be used for hair care?

Yes, it works for both skin and hair without drying them out.

How long does a bar of soap last?

With daily use, one bar lasts about 1–2 months.

How should I store the soap?

On a soap dish, so it stays dry and lasts longer.

Why does the INCI list say “Aqua” when we talk about water-free products?

Our solid products are now based on aloe vera rather than the classic “water-free”. The aloe vera juice is powdered (the natural water is removed) and added back during production. Under the NATRUE natural cosmetics standard we still have to declare this so-called process water as “Aqua” – even though it is really the natural water from the aloe.

Other certifiers handle this differently, so the rule sadly isn't uniform. On the product page we list it correctly as aloe vera juice. We could only avoid “Aqua” if we used fresh aloe vera juice directly. But the producer had concerns about the saponification here. We're not giving up on the topic, though, because INCI transparency matters to us.

So why does the Aloe Vera Serum not say “Aqua”?

For the Aloe Vera Serum we use ready-made aloe vera juice directly in the formulation — we don't remove any water from it and don't add any process water back. So this production step is skipped entirely and there's no “Aqua” to declare.

What's the drainage grid for?

The built-in grid keeps the soap out of the water. That way it stays solid, long-lasting and hygienic for longer – ideal for travel and at home.
