Natural cosmetics. But what exactly does that mean?

As a manufacturer of natural cosmetics, all our ingredients are of (natural and) organic origin. We therefore make no compromises when it comes to "organic." This starts, for example, with beeswax (certified by Demeter or Bioland) and extends to essential oils (organic sage, organic rosemary, etc.). We also ensure that our packaging materials have organic certification (wood fibers from FSC-certified forestry).

While mineral oil-based ingredients have a long tradition in cosmetics, we want to clearly distance ourselves from them. This is because their production generates aromatic hydrocarbons, so-called "Mineral Oil Aromatic Hydrocarbons" (MOAH), which are suspected of promoting the growth of cancer cells. The foundation advises against this. Consumer testing organizations strongly advise against buying lip care products containing MOAH. We don't want that risk on our lips or anywhere else! Instead, we use valuable plant-based ingredients like shea butter, kernel oils, and macerates of flower extracts, which nourish the skin with their high-quality fatty acids and provide long-lasting care.

Furthermore, our products include:

• Free from synthetic fragrances : Our products either contain no fragrances at all, as beeswax naturally possesses a pleasant aroma, or we use fragrances that are exclusively of natural origin. These include essential oils such as organic sage , organic bergamot , or organic lavender .
• Sustainably packaged : we focus on reusability, a high recycling rate, and materials of natural origin. You won't find any products containing plastic packaging.
• Microplastic-free : Microplastics are attractive to cosmetics for various reasons. Despite growing concerns and awareness, this synthetic material is still used in cosmetics for binding, filling, and polishing. However, microplastics persist in the environment for decades. Wastewater treatment plants are usually unable to filter out these tiny particles, and so the residues ultimately end up in lakes, rivers, and oceans, where they are ingested by fish. Not a pretty sight, in our opinion! Therefore, all our ingredients are completely biodegradable and thus pose no threat to the environment, animals, or humans.

• No preservatives : Thanks to the absence of water, we can easily avoid synthetic preservatives.
• Fair partnerships : We have our beekeepers We got to know each other personally and established a solid, long-term partnership. The same applies to our suppliers and authorized dealers.
• Hormones? No thanks ! In 2013, the WHO assessed the use of endocrine disrupting chemicals as a global threat. Hormonal substances are also not uncommon in cosmetics, as a study by the German Federation for the Environment and Nature Conservation (BUND) concluded, suspecting the addition of parabens or chemical UV filters in one out of every four cosmetic products. We won't have that in our tubes, jars, or sticks!
