We use beeswax because it is not only skin-friendly and sustainable, but also the most regionally sourced alternative to synthetic film formers. It combines natural care with the conscious support of local beekeeping and biodiversity.
Origin
Our beeswax comes from the Bioland-certified Hammerbusch apiary run by Dr. Lars Schröter in Kiel. His bee colonies live on Bioland-certified land and in pristine heathlands in northern and eastern Germany. There, they collect nectar from untreated plants such as rapeseed, linden, and heather – sustainably and in harmony with nature.

Like almost all of our raw materials, our beeswax comes exclusively from controlled organic farming and even from Direct Trade!
