Today, we want to openly share what has been happening with us in recent weeks. At the end of September, we unfortunately had to file for preliminary insolvency. Our revenues simply weren't enough anymore – even though we tried everything until the very end.
Made in Germany - currently not easy
As a company producing in Germany, we have strongly felt the price pressure in recent months and years. Many people are now paying even more attention to every euro. However, we did not want to compromise on quality or our values – and that was economically difficult to maintain. In addition, our small production was never at full capacity. Production stood still several days a week, and that does not pay off in the long run.

Long repurchase rate - sustainable but not profitable
Additionally, our products simply last too long. This is wonderfully sustainable, but for a small company like us, which hardly has any money for large advertising campaigns, it is a real challenge. We live from regular customers – and from you recommending us. And that's exactly what you've done. Many have gotten to know us through friends. That makes us incredibly proud – and for that, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
And now?
In October, we fought, calculated, and considered how to move forward. And shortly before Christmas, we can now say: We're continuing! 🎉 We have restructured, as they say in modern German. We have found a partner who will continue the brand with us.
The best part:
- Almost the entire team remains on board. Clara, Madeleine, Lea, Marc, and Fritz.
Only dear Freya is leaving us at this stage, and we sincerely wish her all the best and much success with her upcoming master's thesis! - Our values and impact remain the same.
- Our recipes also remain as you love them.
- There will soon be great new products that we have been planning for a long time!
Production remains in Germany
It is only moving a bit further south, to a partner in Bavaria. The reason is simple: our own production was never fully utilized, the space costs were too high, and the raw material procurement was too small-scale to achieve good prices. We did not want to push our suppliers on price – and that remains the case. The great thing is that we can take many of our previous partners with us and will continue to source from them through our new producer in the future. So our supply chain remains almost unchanged.

New products guaranteed!
Some exciting new products that we have been working on for a long time are currently being developed with our new partner. In two weeks, we can tell you more about them – stay tuned!
Five wild years
After five wild years, many ups and downs, pandemics, lockdowns, and upheavals in the organic sector, we are grateful that it continues. We have learned a lot – and the most important thing is: We get to continue.
If you want to support us in this new phase, we would be very happy if you accompany our Christmas business – for example, by gifting our advent calendar or by visiting our shop again in three weeks. Our new gift sets will then go online. For us, this is the moment to show that our concept works – with you by our side.
Thank you for accompanying, supporting, and promoting us.
Your support means a lot to us.
Grateful regards
Marc and Fritz
and the entire forpeople team
