Solid vs. liquid

Anyone who knows us knows we're big fans of solid cosmetics. We didn't just join the fan club for no reason - we reckon that, in most cases, solid simply beats liquid.

1. Solid cosmetics are super easy to dose. With creams in particular, you too often grab a blob that's too big by accident and then don't know what to do with all that cream.
2. The logical upshot of point 1 is that with solid cosmetics it gets pretty hard to waste any of the product.
3. Travelling is a bit less stressful, because you don't have to worry about whether the cream is too much now or might leak in your bag.
4. With solid cosmetics the packaging is far less of a hassle. Most of the time it's wrapped in an eco-friendly way in paper or other recyclable/compostable materials, or it comes with no packaging at all. With liquid cosmetics that's of course a bit trickier, so a lot of makers reach for plastic.
5. It's not just the packaging - the product itself saves resources too. With solid cosmetics you mostly leave out water and other liquids. That saves resources not only in production but in transport as well, because the product stays so much lighter than the liquid alternative.
