Origin
Almond oil is extracted from the kernels of the sweet almond (Prunus dulcis var. dulcis) or bitter almond (Prunus dulcis var. amara). The almond tree originally comes from the Mediterranean region and parts of West Asia. Today it is cultivated worldwide in warm, dry regions, particularly in California, Spain, and Italy.
