Candelilla wax is our vegan answer to beeswax.
When someone wants to skip animal-based ingredients, candelilla wax is our first choice. You'll find it in our solid vegan hand cream Bergamot and in the hand care set. Harder than beeswax, the hardest plant wax in natural cosmetics.
Vegan wax from the Mexican shrub
Candelilla wax is obtained from the candelilla shrub (Euphorbia cerifera/antisyphilitica), which grows in the semi-deserts of Mexico and Texas. It is hard, tasteless and forms a fine protective film on the skin – a classic vegan texture giver for lipsticks and solid creams.
