We have to adjust our prices for the first time

Hi everyone,
Marc here.

Today I'm writing you a post that, honestly, I'd have loved to skip. Unfortunately it's part of the deal when you make products and try to keep their prices as stable as possible over the years.

In short: we have to adjust some prices.

Before anyone gets nervous – the good news first:
The vast majority of our products stay completely stable in price.

This post is just for you, our most loyal customers, who have been with us for years and who appreciate our newsletter too. Because your loyalty really means a lot to us, we want to explain openly and transparently why we have to adjust some prices on 12 April 2026 – and how we're making the change as fair as possible for you.

Why we have to raise prices

The last few years have thrown some big challenges at us as a small, independent natural-cosmetics brand.

1. Higher raw-material prices

Some of our high-quality organic raw materials – plant oils, resins, our beeswax, extracts – have become more expensive. The reasons include poor harvests due to climate change, but also rising demand. And because we deliberately go for quality and regional sourcing, it hits us harder than most.

2. Rising production & packaging costs

Sustainable packaging, glass, labels and energy-intensive production steps have become more expensive. We wanted to spare you these extra costs for as long as possible.

3. And honestly: we made mistakes ourselves

In five years of forpeople we've never once raised prices – and now that's catching up with us a bit. We hesitated too long, adjusted our calculations too late, and simply sold some products for less than they're worth. That was a mistake, and we openly admit it.

Personally, I find it especially annoying that of all things we have to raise the price of my favourite product, our facial oil, more steeply. But it's necessary to stay financially stable in the long run.

What we will NOT do: shrinkflation

✗ We won't quietly change fill quantities.
✗ We won't water down our formulas.
✗ We won't play tricks.

Some good news: most of our products stay stable

All solid creams stay at their existing prices of 9,90 € for the tin and 7,90 € for the refill. I'm especially glad that our Aloe Vera Serum stays almost stable and remains one of the most affordable ways into our range.

We're also bringing a 30g to-go size of our popular balms to the range soon – something many of you asked for. And with it come lower prices again for everyone who doesn't need the big tins.

Advance notice for all regulars

We have to raise the prices in the shop on 15 April. In retail they'll then be adjusted bit by bit. So until 15 April you've still got the chance to grab the products at the price you know. If you miss it, get in touch with us – we'll always find a fair solution!
